[Pattern Lock] Unlocking a Pattern/PIN locked device

[Pattern Lock] Unlocking a Pattern/PIN locked device
Hi guys, here I come with a useful tutorial and I think would be helpful for you. I know how accidental this might happen, how messy it is to have drew a wrong pattern to the extent that your phone now demands a Google mail login (Gmail). It is quite easy as I believe you would have paired earlier, a google account with your phone. It’s also a difficult thing for those people whom didn’t or might not have a google account with the phone.
Disclaimer: Do at your risk. We are not responsible for any damages caused and hacking someone’s phone is a crime.
What type of Phone Chip does this Steps work with?
In case you don’t know, will be explaining few details here strictly for both MTK and Spreadtrum devices as it is the only assured guides that we guarantee for you, other platforms like Qualcomm, Snapdragon, Intel - Qoura aren’t compatible.
However, we have providing two ways of overcoming this problem and the most guaranteed method requires a PC which am sure won’t be a problem for you. Don’t panic if any of these steps doesn’t work for you, the only way out would only involve you flashing your phone. Meanwhile, you should click here on how you can flash (reload) your phones firmware.
USING CUSTOM/STOCK RECOVERY (MTK)
Let’s try something which I am very sure won’t be possible with some Android MTK devices – before jumping to the next step. Let’s assume you still have a stock recovery, boot to recovery all by (press and hold power and volume up key). There shouldn’t or should be a “no command” screen with an Android logo. Press volume up/down, home/power key until you get to stock recovery where you see apply update, wipe user data/caches. Use wipe user data to see if your phone is fixed. Otherwise, follow the next paragraph!
Using Custom recovery is one among the possible ways to unlock your phone, it would have been great if you had already installed custom recovery on your phone otherwise, you will need a PC in order to get this step done. Or better still, you check other alternatives. Custom recoveries (recovery.img) often have the ability to create and restore device backup. They allow you to install Custom roms/kernels and MODs but in this post, it is also giving you the ability to unlock your locked phone.
Procedures for MTK Phones only
1.                  You will have to download Aroma file manager here. Move it to Sdcard
2.                  Now, boot to recovery (press and hold power and volume up key) at the same time don’t release until it boots to recovery. In some chips, you should release the button ones a boot logo appears.
3.                  Then, use volume down/up to highlight and power button to choose highlighted. Actually, some recoveries don’t work like that, you’d use volume up to choose highlighted while volume down highlights. All these won’t be necessary on recoveries that support touch TWRP or Philz to be precise.
4.                  Now, choose Install from Sd card or Apply update from SD/external select aroma file manager which you downloaded above. After flashing, the aroma file manager will open. Use volume keys as explained above.
5.                  In aroma file manager, go to menu which is located in button strip and select settings. Here highlight and select “mount all partition in startup” then exit.
6.                  After exit, re-update aroma file manager (using step 4).
7.                  Now go to data and select system. Then find “gesture.key” (for pattern lock) and or “password.key” (for password lock), now touch and hold “gesture.key”or password.key and some option will be prompted, choose delete to delete that file. Thus; the pattern/PIN is learned to have saved in the” .key”file, so deleting the “.key” should be the most important thing here.
Note: After booting and it asks for pattern/PIN, just try some random pattern/PIN.
USING STOCK RECOVERY (Spreadtrum)
Unlocking Spreadtrum devices by recovery – that is, switch off your phone, press and hold power and volume down key. Release once it brings a boot logo. Now, highlight and choose wipe user data. This works with some itel and tecno spreadtrum devices.
USING CGP DRAGON
You should check here if the above doesn’t work, one must work out of two. Download CGP dragon or Miracle Box. These depends on the type of lock screen you are having. CGP works for pattern locked and Miracle works for PIN locked. Download Spreadtrum drivers here.
Extract CGP dragon to desktop using winrar. Goto desktop open CGP folder, right click CGP Dragon.exe and run as administrator. A window of CGP D. should appear navigate to SPD and tick format. Now in the dropdown menu options, select your device chips e.g 8810 Android or 6820 Android. Now tick only Format_UserData then click START.
Turn of your device, remove it’s battery and insert it back. Now hold volume down button. While doing that connect the phone to the computer via USB cable and place the battery.
Immediately, CGP Dragon will detect the phone and the process will start. Don’t remove until you see Format_UserData…Success in green color. Ignore any fail log you might get. Disconnect and reboot your device. It’s as simple as that.
CONCLUSION: Doing this all requires your effort, it is only explained here, easily how you could overcome a locked phone problem. However, we are not responsible for any damage you might cause to yourself. You are doing it at your own risk.
