AirDroid 4.0 gives the utility a user interface redesign from the ground up| for sock rom go to rompure.com

AirDroid, the free app that offers easy file transfers and remote management for Android devices, remains one of the best and most consistent apps on the Play Store. Developer Sand Studio is scrupulous in maintaining the app's functionality and improving it with new features and design tweaks. Today the dev introduced what's probably the biggest change to the platform since it offered a paid option: a complete visual overhaul. Everything from the layout to the logo to the promotional web page has been updated.

Old AirDroid homescreen, left, and the 4.0 version, center. The "Nearby" view has also been updated (right).
But this isn't just a fresh coat of paint. In addition to the revamped color scheme and graphics on mobile, the basic layout of the phone app has been adjusted. Instead of starting with a homescreen-style grid, AirDroid now presents the file manager page on launch, the reasoning being that it's what users are actually opening the app for most of the time.

The new logo is pretty sweet too.
The "Nearby" and "Friends" features (which allow fast transfers to local devices and remote contacts, respectively) get their own dedicated tabs in the new file transfer-focused UI. But don't worry: all the features from the older versions of the app, including remote screen access and notification mirroring, are still available on the web and desktop clients. The "pro" subscription for sock rom data on remote connections remains intact as well.
AirDroid 4.0 should be rolling out to most Play Store users over the next few days. If you can't wait for the upgrade, Sand Studio offers a direct download on its website.
