In the fiscal quarter of 2015, Apple’s revenue in China grew to $12.51 billion from $6.29 billion in 2014, a growth off almost 100%. Apple's revenue in China again exceeded  that of Europe at $10.57 billion. The Greater China region remains Apple’s second largest market after the Americas, underscoring the critical importance of this area to Apple’s future growth.With its huge consumer base and growing middle class, China is seen as Apple's greatest chance at growth as the iPhone sales boom stagnates in more mature markets like the U.S

As per Kantar Media data based on November,2016 numbers,  show Apple's share in urban China slowing from 25.3% to 19.9% amidst defending  off against local Chinese homegrown firms  like  Huawei, Oppo, and Xiaomi. Huawei managed a 25%, though this was actually a decline of 3.1 percentage points from a previous three-month period ending in October. In the same span, Apple advanced 2.8 percentage points thanks to the iPhone 7.The device in fact became the best-selling Chinese smartphone during the November period, taking 6.6 percent of sales, relegating Oppo's R9 to second place at 4.7 percent.
